Standard Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program
The standard maximum FDIC deposit insurance amount has been temporarily increased to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013.
In addition, Standard Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, including NOW accounts earning 0.50% or less and IOLTAs (Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts), are fully guaranteed by the FDIC through June 30, 2010. Because our Golden Advantage and Premium NOW accounts contain a tiered rate that exceeds 0.50%, they are not covered under this additional guarantee. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
