Simple Switch Kit

Switching your accounts to Standard Bank is easy!  Follow our 4-Step Simple Switch and you'll be on your way to becoming a new member of the Standard Bank family.

Step One: Simply switch!

Your first step is to complete the three forms of the Standard Bank Simple Switch Kit. Once completed, bring them to any Standard Bank branch and we will open up your new account.

  1. Open My Account (PDF File):  This form asks for basic information we will use to open your new Standard Bank account.
  2. Automatic Payment Notification (PDF File): This form is used for any payments you have automatically coming from your old checking account.  Make as many copies of this page as necessary and complete for each automatic payment you currently have. Your Standard Bank representative will attach a voided check to this form once your new account has been opened.
  3. Direct Deposit Notification (PDF File):  If your paycheck or government checks automatically deposit into your old checking account, complete this form to switch it to your new Standard Bank account. 

Don’t feel like filling out these forms yourself?  Open your account online right now, or stop by any Standard Bank branch and we’ll fill them out for you!

Step Two: Come Visit Us!

Stop by your Standard Bank branch to open up your new account.  If you have already completed the Simple Switch Kit, bring that with you and we will do the rest!  If you did not complete the Simple Switch Kit, don't worry.  Bring all necessary information with you and we’ll be happy to complete the forms for you. 

Step Three: Stop Using Your Old Account

Stop actively using your old account.  Make a list of any automatic payments and make sure you have moved them to our FREE Online Banking and Bill Pay service.

After you have stopped using your old account and all automatic payments have been moved to your new Standard Bank account, close your old account with your old bank.

Step Four: Smile!

Just sit back, relax and smile!  You are now an official member of the Standard Bank family.
